[KB2549] Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Mac antivirus software
- UPDATE: I need to test the configuration but seem to work with these exclusion, this is for Catalina, because the other macOS version wasn't using the same path for local time machine snapshots.
- Click Uninstall then enter your administrative credentials. Step After the uninstall process completes, you will see an Uninstallation Completed Successfully screen.
Solution
The good news is the uninstall aspect worked well, or at least that’s how it appears at this point. I tried ESET Cybersecurity for MAC because of high ratings on the Internet, but was disappointed. I use Kaspersky on my PCs, have always been very happy with their performance and so I will try their app for our Mac Book Pro.
Running two antivirus products on the same computer can degrade performance and cause system instability. It is important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before installing your ESET security product.
- Click the link associated with the antivirus software currently installed on your system and follow the prompts or instructions on the website.
- After uninstallation is complete, you will need to restart your computer. You may then proceed with installing your ESET product.
